Corrugated Bitumen Roof Sheet Dimensions
Sheet Size : 2000mm x 950mm
Cover Width : 855mm
Thickness : 2.6mm
Sheet Weight : 5.6kg
Material Weight : 2.9kg/m2
Corrugation : Height = 38mm : Width = 95mm
Note: Dimensions / specifications may vary slighty ( + / - ).
To calculate the number of sheets required to complete your roof,
measure the width of the roof and divide this figure by the cover
ie: the roof is 3000mm wide, divide by 855mm = 3.5 sheets.
Round this figure up to the nearest full sheet - 4 sheets will be
Divide the roof width by the fixing centres. Divide the roof length
by the support centres and add 3.
Multiply these two values together .
= approximate number of fixings required.
Accessories of Roofing Corrugated Bitumen Roof sheet
Ridge Cap: 900*500mm
Nails for wood purlin or for steel purlin
Basic Fitting Instructions
Purlins must be at the correct centres and not less than 25mm
square, supported by rafters. A useful tip is to use a timber
spacer to keep purlins square to eaves.
If cutting is necessary, use a fine toothed hand saw or circular
power saw, lubricating the cut with general purpose lubricating oil
to prevent binding.
3. Laying the sheets
Commence fixing sheets at the opposite end of the roof to
prevailing winds. Stagger the sheets using half a sheet to start
the second course.
Nail through sheet crown into purlins or decking. Nail every
corrugation at sheet overlaps and at the top and bottom of the
slope. Nail centres may be reduced to alternate corrugations at
5. Fixing ridges
Commence fixing ridges at the opposite end of the roof to
prevailing winds. Overlaps should be 125mm. Additional purlins
should be fitted to suit.
Verges should be formed by either nailing the final corrugation
over a raised barge board or using a ridge piece to lay over the
7. Fixing Gutters
Do not overhang fascia by more than 70mm.
Minimum roof pitch: 10 degrees (decked roof) / 15 degrees (battened
Corrugated bitumen sheets, one of the most affordable solutions for
roofing and wall paneling, have been in use all over the world for
decades. Cost-Effective, maintenance free, high laying performance,
long life, low- weight and durable under all conceivable climatic
The upper layers of the sheet are saturated during production with
color and resins, because of which the possibility of subsequent
peeling-off of the color is eliminated. The sheets reveal the true
intensity of their coloration only after a certain time on the
roof. Owing to the natural oxidation of the bitumen on the surface,
the sheets become lighter and thus brighter.
In order to guarantee a uniform quality, bitumen corrugated sheets
are continuously quality-monitored and tested by the MPA of the TH
High stability with low weight
KRS bitumen corrugated sheets, thanks to the patented multi-layer
structure, have a very high stability, and at the same time, a low
The fibers, the majority of which run parallel to the corrugation,
result in a high flexibility. The KRS bitumen corrugated sheets thus facilitate an optimum matching even
to uneven under-constructions. Thanks to this property, they are
ideal for sanitation. Arching radii above 8 m can be laid without
All corrugated bitumen sheets are CE certified and comply with the
